SYNOPSIS

You have taken your rightful place amongst the lords of the land. As a woman, you have come through thick and thin, faced all odds- and showed the world that th ere exists a place for both Men and Women to provide purposeful leadership, vision and direction - to lead, to govern!

You have with your assertiveness and persuasive spirit - change our world, made it a better place. You have proven that you are strong, determined and capable.

Have you reached the peak of your achievements? Is there more to you than we have seen? Do you still face the same discrimination that once held you back? As a woman, do you still bear the burden to prove yourself so emphatically? To what extent can we say that we have achieved equality for women- to lead, to govern? Have you fully taken your rightful place in the decision making structures of our society? What more do we have to do to achieve this goal? This conference amongst others, seeks to measure the progress and impact of women leaders in Africa - be it in the corporate world or political world; to take account of the success so far and define innovative solutions moving forward.
